Kingstreet Patriots – Bear Creek Link is sponsoring a day of good old fashioned family fun at Double Lakes Recreation Area in the Sam Houston National Forest. Bring the kids and grandkids for a day of relaxation - free from politics. Fish, canoe, swim, hike, play volleyball, horseshoes, croquet, or just relax.

We have reserved the CCC Lodge for the entire day so you can have a place to leave your stuff while you go exploring. All families are responsible for their own food/drinks and will need to pay a $6.00 fee per car. You can read about all Double Lakes has to offer:

If you would like to camp out and stay the night, you’ll need to make campsite reservations at 877-444-6777.

Double Lakes is located 17 miles northwest of Cleveland on FM 2025, about 1 ½ hour  drive from Bear Creek.

American Majority Activist and Candidate Training, Feb. 6

American Majority will be hosting a training for activists and candidates on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010.

 The event will be held from 11AM – 4PM at HEP Bookstore, 11665 Fuqua, STE A-100, Houston, TX  77034. The registration table will open at 10:45 AM.

The goal of this training is to empower common citizens to make a difference in their communities by using tools of information, technology and by networking with other like-minded individuals and organizations.
